Place and Facilities:
Valle Nevado is the biggest Ski Center of the Southern Hemisphere with a ski area of 900 acres, and the most modern center in Chile. It is located in the middle of the Cordillera at 3025 meters of altitude.
In Valle Nevado we can find high quality powder snow, so it is chosen by athletes around the world to practice heliskiing, snowboarding, skiing and all kinds of winter activities.
It features 37 trails in over 40 kilometers of packed trails located in the Andean valleys, differentiated according to inexperienced riders in blue, red and black as well as alternate trails, with fresh and virgin snow for experts.
Valle Nevado also has a Snowboard Park, 100 meters long by 50 meters wide, which is from the 2003 World Snowboard Championship because of its excellent terrain, with its specialized ski trails named Half Pipe and Cross Border.
Valle Nevado has 810 vertical meters and a maximum height at the Top of Tres Puntas, with 3670 meters of altitude. The minimum altitude at Valle Nevado is 2860 meters, located on the Base Prado (Prado Base).
The resort is located at 3025 meters of altitude.
Snowpark:
Valle Nevado has one of the best snowparks in Latin America, specially developed for beginners and experts. It is locates next to the Candonga SkiLift, between Cima Prado and Andes Express. It provides the chance to have a ski or snowboard lesson in order to learn or improve your techniques.
It features three areas: the beginners area has route with rollers, camber and mini boxes; the intemediate has two boxes, 3 6-to-10-metro jumps, a rainbow; and the advanced area has two rails with a box kink of 9 meters, a quarter pipe for jibbing and 2 step-up jumps.
