Corralco Ski Center
Corralco is the newest ski centre in Chile, and it offers new alternatives when it comes to ski and snowboarding for Chileans and tourists from another countries.
The centre has two hundred hectares, with tracks for beginners and experts, with the best snow in the area and in the middle of a simply wonderful scenery.
There are seven tracks or slopes, all maintained for the best competitions and sports events of the winter season. The ground lifts allow an easy access to the tracks.
Besides the common tracks where you can practice ski, there are others with bigger descents or slopes. You can ski on them by hiring the show-cat service, which must be done in anticipation at the center’s cafeteria.
The Corralco Centre is located in the Malalcahuello-Nalcas National reserve, so it is surrounded by a beautiful Araucarias forest, which has over a thousand hectares available for ski-related activities.
Temuco, the capital city of the region, is only 120 km away, about an hour and a half from the airport. Concepcion, another big city in the area, is 280 km away or 3.5 hours; and Santiago, the capital of Chile, is 700 km away.
The Centre is near the Lonquimay volcano, which is surrounded by beautiful sceneries. The sun only adds beauty to the landscapes, creating unique sunsets.
The centre is also surrounded by forests, which are the perfect place to stay if you like lodges. They have accommodations and a restaurant of international level, which has turned the centre into a favorite amongst skiers around the world.
If you travel with children, do not worry. Corralco also offers a day care and playground service, with a mini school. All teachers are qualified to take care of children of any age, offering a service by the hour; or, if you prefer, leaving your kids at the mini school for a complete or half-a-day. Your children will enjoy the secure and fun activities, while you take some time to ski or snowboard and relax.

No matter how good or bad a skier you are, you can always learn more or improve your technique at the Corralco Ski School. Basic technique or tips for more advanced skiers and snowboarders, you can always improve your style.
There are collective and single classes, Snow Garden and Mini School.
